This Privacy Policy explains how Snapi Bands, Inc. ("Snapi," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Snapi website, apps, NFC-enabled bracelets, and related services (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account information | Name, email address, password, billing information (Account Holder only) |
| Child safety profile data | Medical conditions, allergies, dietary restrictions, symptoms, emergency contacts, and (if provided) a profile photo — all entered directly by the Account Holder |
| Caregiver interaction data | Questions asked to the AI assistant and the language selected when a Caregiver taps a Snapi Band; the Service does not require Caregivers to create an account |
| Device & usage data | IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, and similar analytics collected via cookies (see Section 8) |
We collect this information directly from you when you create a profile, use the AI assistant, or tap a Snapi Band, and automatically through standard web technologies described in Section 8.
We do not use child safety profile data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles about children.
When a Caregiver asks the Snapi AI assistant a question, the relevant profile data and the question are sent to our AI infrastructure provider (Google Cloud Vertex AI) solely to generate a response. This processing happens under contractual confidentiality and data-protection terms, and the provider is not permitted to use your data to train its own models or for any purpose other than delivering the Service to you. AI-generated responses are not reviewed by a medical professional; see the "Not Medical Advice" section of our Terms of Service.
The core function of the Service is to display a child's safety profile to a Caregiver who taps the Snapi Band. This is not third-party "sharing" in the sense described above — it is the intended, Account-Holder-controlled purpose of the Service. Account Holders control which information appears on the profile and are responsible for the physical distribution of the Snapi Band to intended Caregivers.
The Service is designed for use by adults (parents or legal guardians) on behalf of a child; it is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect information directly from, children under 13. All child safety profile data is entered by the Account Holder, not the child. If we learn that a child has created an account directly, we will take steps to delete it. Parents may review, update, or delete their child's profile data at any time through their account, or by contacting us (Section 15).
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable cloud infrastructure — to protect information in our care. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain account and profile information for as long as the account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated profile data at any time (Section 11).
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 15. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
If you upload a photo or other file to a child's profile, you confirm you have the right to do so. If someone believes uploaded content infringes their copyright, our notice-and-takedown process is described in the Copyright / DMCA Notice section of our Terms of Service.
We are based in the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States by us and our subprocessors listed in Section 5. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g., by email or in-product notice) before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
